Improving Your Cardiovascular Fitness Is The Key To Increasing Weight Loss

Posted by GaanlaotrzaModofesta@hotmail.com on
Sticking to a strict diet and counting calories simply doesn't do the trick for most people wanting to lose weight. Sometimes people can shift some weight by doing this, but when they come off their diet they tend to pile on the weight again.

People then get into a yo-yo cycle of dieting which isn't good for you. Keeping the weight off after losing it is possible by going down a different route. The key to this is cardiovascular fitness.

You may feel slightly exhausted when you first start doing cardio exercise. This is because your respiratory system hasn't been pushed that much before so it isn't used to the extra oxygen your body needs to work your muscles. However the more exercise you do the easier it gets. For example, the first time you try going out for a walk around the block, you may get red in the face, feel warm and sweaty and begin to huff and puff. This is your body's way of trying to get more oxygen into your lungs to circulate around your system. If you do this a lot you'll notice that you don't feel out of breath so much. You'll notice you have more energy as your respiratory function improves with the extra exercise.

Cardiovascular fitness just means improving the strength of your muscles that help run your heart, lungs and vascular system in general. Over time, as your level of fitness increases, you'll see that you don't get out of breath so often. You'll also notice an increase in the amount of energy you have to walk around the park or play with your children for longer. The best thing about improving your cardiovascular fitness is that you'll find it a lot easier to stay at a healthy weight.

The more physical activity you can get into your daily routine, the easier you'll find it to keep weight off without having to watch what you eat so carefully.

When people hear the words 'cardiovascular exercise' they think it means sprinting on a treadmill so fast that they turn bright red and faint. However research has proven that you only need to get around thirty minutes of extra exercise into your daily routine to see any benefits. You don't have to do all of the extra exercise in one chunk, you can split it up over the day. One session can simply be a quick 5 minute walk during your break time. Playing a game of football with your children also counts toward the 30 minutes.

Dancing around to your favorite song also counts. What you do to get your minutes in does not matter. Your fitness will improve by simply doing a bit more activity in the day. Increasing your fitness level can have many positive effects, not just weight loss. Your health and happiness are both positively affected by exercise. Those with a higher level of fitness are in fact much better off as they have a reduced chance of getting cancer, type II diabetes and also heart disease. Your body will be provided with more energy when you do more physical activities. This is excellent news for those who want to lose weight whilst feeling fresh and happy each morning.
